Our love of the river started close to Hampton Court on the River Thames in Molesey, Surrey.
Based on the riverside in West Molesey we provide high-quality equipment, fun-packed lessons, courses and informative tours to help you enjoy getting out on the water safely.
We’ve been paddling the local waterways for years and what started off as a hobby, turned into a family activity and now a recognised paddle sport business. With years of experience helping hundreds of people to enjoy safe, fun paddling.
Andy has been paddling the Thames for more than 30 years..which is why he’s so tired:-)
A long time Molesey resident, Andy can often be seen on the water in a kayak or on a board, usually when he should be working… so now it has become work with the launch of Hampton Court Paddle Sports!
A qualified SUP instructor, British Canoeing Paddlesport Leader, member of British Canoeing, Water Skills Academy and British Stand Up Paddle Association, Andy has the experience and local knowledge to help you enjoy your time on the water – and if you don’t enjoy it he has an endless stream of dad-jokes to make you wish you had.
One of three Wyborn ‘water babies’, Ruby grew up on the Ember in Molesey, learning to swim and paddle in the river from an early age.
Now an experienced RNLI beach lifeguard, Ruby spends her summers keeping Britain’s beaches safe and, in her spare time, surf coaching with her all-girls surf academy, Ruby’s Rippers.
Ruby was an early adopter of stand up paddleboarding and very quickly introduced the concept of sit-down paddle boarding. See video.
Lucky customers may be surprised by an occasional guest visit from Ruby!
The youngest of the bunch, Kit has developed a style of his own, on and off the water.
Like his siblings, he grew up next to the River Ember in Molesey and quickly showed a natural understanding of how to paddle – he took off in a kayak at the age of three when irresponsible parenting was all the rage.
Kit is a qualified lifeguard and may be familiar to locals from his time trying to stay awake whilst working at Hurst Pool.
He can often be seen paddling on the Thames in a variety of outfits often to the accompaniment of French café tunes.
